Gregory L. Gleason and Michael I. Korotkin will head new capability
New York, NY. PA Consulting Group, a leading international management, systems and technology consulting firm, today announced the formation of a global Strategic Information Management capability (SIM) and the appointment of Greg Gleason and Mike Korotkin to lead the capability, effective immediately.
"We have created this new capability in response to the increasing need for companies, and especially their senior executives, to continually have better information about their businesses and the strategic options available to them. One major challenge is having the right information available for decision-making. In this increasingly data-rich world, gaining real insight is more and more difficult. We have created a distinctive approach to building a powerful capability," said Greg Gleason, who joins PA from Marakon Associates.
"Strategic Information Management offers an innovative approach to strategic decision makers enabling them to make better choices through the anticipation of business conditions, market changes and growth opportunities. This includes the ability to utilize both internal and external information about their business that is critical to making the best decisions possible," commented Mike Korotkin, who also joins PA from Marakon Associates. "Through SIM, PA advocates a top down approach to management's information needs. This approach promises companies an information strategy based on need rather than availability - the result of which will be better decision making and far higher returns on information investments."
"The formation of this capability is the next phase of PA's U.S. growth plan and adds an important strategic capability globally. PA is growing rapidly in this market and establishing this capability is an excellent opportunity to both accelerate our North American growth and bring a world-class offering to our global client base," said Bruce Tindale, PA's Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Gleason was most recently a partner with Marakon Associates' Chicago office, where he was responsible for information strategy. Prior to Marakon, Mr. Gleason was a vice president and served as managing director of Computer Sciences Corporation's Index office in Chicago and spent two years on special assignment for CSC in Australia and Asia. Mr. Gleason was a partner at Arthur Andersen before joining CSC.
Mr. Korotkin also joins PA from Marakon Associates where he was a partner in the New York office. Prior to Marakon, Mr. Korotkin was a partner in the Strategic Change practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he led the Value-based-management practice for North America.
