Success in next generation mobile: PA Consulting Group demonstrates 3G services at Cannes

PA Consulting Group's leadership in 3G technology and consulting will be on show at the 3GSM World Congress (on Stand G27), the wireless world's major, annual showcase event in Cannes, 20-23 February 2001.
PA, a leading management, systems and technology consulting firm, will be giving a live demonstration of advanced services, including:
- Resilient video streaming, optimised to deliver best picture quality over a variable rate UMTS-like channel
- Home Automation - a demonstration of how wireless technology can be utilised in and away from home for appliance management, home integration and home security
- Where's the nearest? a GPS-style locational-based service, developed specifically for 3GSM, will provide information on the conference programme, exhibition stands and a map of the centre; the service will be beamed to a delegate's Compaq iPAQ on request during the Congress, exclusively to visitors to the PA stand
- An interactive demonstration of a pilot B2B corporate on-demand service, from a user's perspective, and Wireless Walkman.
