NHS Confederation annual conference and exhibition 2008, 18-20 June, Manchester
In the run up to the NHS next stage review, this is the one event, taking place from 18-20 June in Manchester, that gives an overview of the whole health service.
The event is themed around what can be done now to respond to future challenges. In the lead up to the conference and exhibition 2008 the organisers are publishing a series of debate papers on the future of the NHS. This week sees the launch of "Globalisation: how will it affect the NHS", which explores what the NHS needs to do to be better prepared for some of the challenges and opportunities that globalisation will bring.
This is the third paper to the series, adding to "Funding tomorrow today: social care for older people and vulnerable adults" and "Compassion in healthcare: The missing dimension of healthcare reform". Two more papers on topping-up fees and innovation will be published shortly.
