The 'Vee' model
Key to the V model is an understanding of the systematic nature of complicated projects. Inputs to the system are a description of the desired outcome, the scope of the system of interest and the constraints and assumptions that exist at the system boundary. In parallel with the derivation of project requirements, acceptance and verification methods are defined. A top-down approach is pursued, ensuring that outputs from each stage are integrated and validated against those original requirements.
