Managing for Shareholder Value in difficult times
Discussions and analysis of PA's international research on MSV 2001
International research from PA Consulting Group revealed that the vast majority (90.8%) of the senior executives that it questioned agree, or strongly agree, with the idea of 'Managing for Shareholder Value' as a management philosophy. Yet only around 20% of companies interviewed by PA are fully committed to such an approach, and only around two-thirds have even partial commitment.
To present the results of this survey, PA hosted an event in London, including speeches by Sir Brian Pitman, former Chairman of Lloyds TSB, and Jon Moynihan, PA's Chairman and Chief Executive. Guests at the seminar included chairmen, chief executives and finance directors of leading companies. This book provides a record of the evening's discussions.
