Tim Palmer, head of PA’s HR sourcing business, was honoured as this year’s Individual Innovator at the HROA Europe Awards. The award was announced on 20 November, during the HRO World Europe Conference in Brussels, following a vote of more than 200 senior executives from over 10 countries.
After the awards presentation, Faye Holland, the European Executive Director of the Association, said: “This award recognises Tim’s position as one of Europe’s leading sourcing consultants and his contribution to HR transformation best practices through his thought leadership and relationships.”
For the past 18 years, Tim has supported many European multinational companies to transform their HR, Finance, Procurement and IT functions. In his role as a board member of HROA Europe and Chair of its Standards and Benchmarking Committee, Tim has led the effort to create a global taxonomy for use by the HRO industry, as well as contributing to the development of other HROA Recommended Practices.
On receiving the award, Tim commented: “Our team at PA has worked hard during 2008 to improve the way that the industry works and we are committed to continue this throughout 2009. I am indebted to my colleagues, our clients and the members of the HROA for voting for this award.”
Tim has previously been named Outsourcing Professional of the Year by the UK's National Outsourcing Association in 2007 and Sourcing Advisor of the Year by HROA in 2006.
