PA developed a UMTS business plan for a UMTS licence bidder in the UK. The overall financial model consists of revenue, cost and financial elements all linked together to provide a complete view of the expected outcome. The elements making up this model refer to a UMTS service portfolio which also drives revenues and network costs. Network costs are mainly dominated by the radio network, depending on number of Node B, radio carriers and RNCs needed. The client based its bidding decision on different market entry strategies which PA ran on this model.
