Mills DA

The development of HavBris, a new chilled salmon pâté

Mills DA is a major player in the Norwegian grocery product market with their Mills and Delikat brands. PA Consulting Group worked with a Mills joint marketing and technical team to help them with the complete process of developing a new chilled fish-based pâté product. This was a breakout project for Mills as their existing fish products were mainly ambient stable with a long shelf life.

The joint PA/Mills team worked to achieve a product with the optimal flavor, texture and stability for an extended chilled shelf life. In parallel to the formulation work, PA identified the process and packaging options to enable volume manufacture of the product and worked with Tromarin (a Mills company) to design and re-fit  an existing factory into a dedicated manufacturing facility for fish products.
