Improved HRM supports business targets and strategies
XPonCard is the leading Danish company in the development, production and administration of consumer transaction cards. It concentrates on card solutions for banking and finance, loyalty and trade, the public sector, transportation and telcos.
The company had experienced a period of rapid growth, which led to staff problems such as low staff retention and skill shortages - and PA was invited to change this.
PA suggested that the company establish a small but efficient Human Resource Management function, which would operate internationally. The HRM function was anchored in the line management, and ordinary employees - called ‘HRM Angels’ - were nominated to supervise the daily handling of HRM affairs. The result was that, just 10 months later, the rate of staff turnover had improved by 30%, and profit generated per head had risen.
