Lloyds TSB
Merger business change management
The merger between Lloyds and TSB in 1996 created one of the world's largest banks. After successfully completing an initial reorganization of the bank, Lloyds TSB's HR function decided to take a close look at its own internal architecture. PA consultants have been an integral part of the project from beginning to end, helping first with building and evaluating models of how the HR function might look, then with persuading the organization of the validity of change, and finally with implementing the changes that were agreed on. Throughout the project, PA worked closely with bank staff at all levels.
"We're delighted with the new structure: it's made us more efficient, more effective, and better aligned with the business."
Norman Mitchinson, Group HR Director, Lloyds TSB
