BASF Pharma's Accelerating Clinical Development (ACD) program, which was launched in partnership with PA Consulting Group, had twin aims: to cut clinical drug development times by 40 per cent and to achieve effective globalization of processes. PA was chosen because of our industry expertise, coupled with our pragmatic approach to developing solutions. PA demonstrated a deep understanding of cultural sensitivities and the complexities of driving through major change programs.

Professor Erich Schlick, Head of the largest R&D site, Knoll AG, said of this project: "Before...we developed drugs below the industry average time line. Now our top development project time lines are comparable to those of the Pfizers of the world."
