Extracting post-merger synergy through IT systems integration

Following the Commonwealth Bank of Australia's (CBA) acquisition of Colonial, CBA's New Zealand subsidiary - ASB Bank - proceeded to integrate its Sovereign life insurance subsidiary with Colonial Life. PA Consulting Group was invited to assist in the planning and subsequent management of the Sovereign and Colonial life insurance integration. With PA's assistance, detailed integration planning and implementation commenced, and a series of roadshow events were staged to launch the new Sovereign product range.
