Case study
Xella Porenbeton
Relocating a production plant to Bulgaria
The client is a subsidiary of Xella Porenbeton Holding Ltd in Sofia - a manufacturer of gas concrete products in the booming Bulgarian market. It wanted to relocate one of its production plants to Bulgaria in order to: fulfil market demand; secure participation in further growth of the local market; to prepare for market entry into Romania and neighbouring countries; and exploit existing machinery and assembly facilities.
PA supported the project management from planning to implementation, partnering with Xella's project leaders and coaching them in project management methods and tools. With timely control of risks, potential setbacks, delays and costs PA transformed this undertaking from one that was seen as critical into a project that is now a benchmark for best practice in the company. Xella benefited from full transparency in the planning and reporting process, while its project leaders learned project management skills and tool for future projects.
